The word imoism was coined in 2017 by authors Federico Tavola and Gregorio Pastore, in order to define the form of absolute relativism that, in the name of the freedom of expression, pretends that every opinion is valued worthy of respect and consideration, regardless of logic, knowledge or empirical evidence.
Imoism appeared for the first time in the pamphlet theImoist – Phenomenology of Homo Insapiens, published on the same year and by the same authors under the nome de plume of Jon Chisciotte.
